Voting is now open for the 2008 Tin Duck Awards, the annual Western Australian Science Fiction Foundation (WASFF) Achievement Awards for WA writers and artists. The awards will be presented at Swancon 33 “The State of the Art” to be held in Perth from March 20-24th.

Works eligible to be nominated must have been "published" (be it written work, art or any form of performing art or convention running) in the 2007 calendar year, and must not have been voted upon in any previous Tin Duck Award.

Completed ballots may be emailed to tinducks@swancon.com, or mailed to Tin Ducks Awards Committee, PO Box 555, Inglewood WA 6932. Posted ballots need to be postmarked no later than 17th March 2008. Alternatively, completed ballots may be placed in the ballot box in the Registration Area of the Convention before 5pm, Saturday 22nd March 2008. Voting is open to full and supporting members of Swancon. Voting is by Optional Preferential Voting. Mark as many boxes, as you wish in each category, in the order of your preference, 1 being your first choice. You do not have to number every box. The Tin Duck Committee reserves the right to make further decision on the validity of nominees. Ballot form must be clearly signed by the voter. Unsigned forms will not be counted! Only one ballot form per person.
